Fellowship is an important part of being a Christian. Ecclesiastes says, "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work. If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no-one to help him up!" It is in fellowship that we get to know one another, love one another, pray for one another, and support one another. Cowboy Church offers a number of informal gatherings that make it easy for you to get acquainted with others, have fun, and make some good Christian friends. Among these are:
Senior 55+ Game Night
The Senior 55+ Game Night is designed to provide those 55 and over with a relaxed evening of food, fellowship, and fun in a warm Christian atmosphere. We meet the second Friday of every month from 6:30-9:30 p.m. in the Cowboy Church Youth Center for a potluck dinner and games. Some of the games we play include Forty-Two, Dominoes, Chicken Foot, Rummikub, as well as other games you might suggest or enjoy. No reservations are needed, just bring a covered dish or desert of your choice and come join in the fun. Men's Prayer Breakfast
Jesus said, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
One the first Saturday of every month at 8 a.m., many of the men from our church gather for a special time of food, fellowship, and prayer. Beginning very early in the morning on Saturday, some of our men will begin cooking an old fashioned bacon, egg, and biscuit breakfast. Most everyone else arrives between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. to meet, greet, and eat. There is always an extended time of informal fellowship, followed by a season of heart-felt prayer. This is not haughty or formal prayer, but simply the sincere prayers of regular working men who have needs and issues just like you. It is one of the best places to meet and get acquainted with other men, but more than that, it is one of the most spiritual and meaningful times in the life of our church. If you have never stuck your head in the door, come on down and check us out. You'll be glad you did. For more information, contact James Prater at 972-880-9730.
